Christian Book Reviews is an independent, interdisciplinary,Website dedicated to publishing scholarly reviews of books about or relevant to contemporary Christianity. CBRs seeks to inform academics, pastors and the educated laity about books that are worth reading regardless of when they were published. Unlike conventional book review journals CBRs publishes reviews of books that are long out of print and more than one review of the same book when such reviews add to the reader's understanding.

Who may submit a review? Anyone who is academically qualified to make an informed judgment on a book may submit their review to CBRs. All submissions will be read by the editor and, when necessary, a subject editor. If deemed acceptable the review will then be posted on the website. To submit a review read the instructions listed below. Normally reviewers are expected to have a graduate degree or its equivalent.

Instructions for submitting a review. Each review must describe the content of a particular work before offering an evaluation of it from a scholarly Christian perspective. Reviewers are expected to deal fairly with books and authors and explain the significance of a work to the reader. Anyone who owns the copyright on a review published elsewhere may submit the same review to CBRs.

How to submit. Send a note to the editor, Irving Hexham, suggesting a book you want to review. Provide him with a short cv and describe your academic expertise in relation to the book is question. In other words say why you are qualified to review a particular book. After he has read your self-description the editor will contact you with instructions about how to send the review.
